Mobile Malware Insights project was part of the work being done at the ICRI-SC at Helsinki. Our goal is to study the extent of malware infection in mobile devices and to develop innovative ways of detecting and predicting infection.

Results

• We used malware datasets received from various sources (Mobile Sandbox, McAfee and Malware Genome). If you are interested in the malware datasets, you can request them directly from the sources we used or the number of other malware repositories such as AndroTotal. We also collected data about applications used on a large number of devices. The latter device dataset is available for research use on request.
