Off the hook gives you full protection against phishing attacks from the web.
Cross platform and cross browser, easy to install and doesn’t need any user interaction. It will monitor your browsing real-time without send any information about your browsing history. If a phishing threat is detected it will display a warning message with different alternatives, in order to give to the user maximum of freedom and flexibility.
Getting started
Start using Off the hook right now, go to the Download section below and follow the Installation Istruction.
Read the User Guide below to fully understand the add on’s behaviour.

Installation
Windows

- Download the correct version of the application and run the .msi package

- Download one or more add-ons to have full protection.

- Reboot the system.

- $ unzip file_name.zip -d Off_the_hook

- Navigate inside the folder and run the installation file in the terminal

User Guide
The main propose of the application is to prevent user interaction with malicious websites without compromise the normal browsing activity.
If the user land in a suspicious website this loading image is displayed, in order to allow the computation of the final result.
In case the website is considered as safe, a green tick is displayed and the user is able to continue.
Otherwise a warning message with three option is shown:
- Be redirect to the legitimate website
- Be redirect to Google Search
- Continue in the website despite the warning (In this case there is the possibility to whitelist the page in order to do not display the message in the future).
There are three different level of privacy and data collection related to the application. In order to configure them is sufficient to right click on the add-on icon or in every part of the browser and select “Off the Hook”.
The default configuration doesn not store any kind of data about the visited websites.
Enabled the metadata collection will enable the storage and upload to our server a general statistics about the application usage and his performance. No URL or browsing history are anyway stored.
Enable the website data collection allow the user to send us the source code of the websites detected as phishing to allow us to collect new data and improve our service.
You can change your level of privacy in any moment of your browsing.
